Cub Country Day Camp: Day 1

Once a year we have a weekend like no other where scouts and leaders head to Mill Creek Canyon and pass of requirements galore: Cub Day Camp! This summer saw our scouts at Cub Country Frontiers. Here's Day 1: Friday. BB Guns, obstacle courses, native American symbology, and knots! Look for the crocodile.

June Pack Meeting: Leave Nothing but Footprints

In the pictures below the scouts are using flint and steel to create sparks. Notice the glove worn by everyone sparking: no shaved knuckles here!

A Scouting version of musical chairs: Pair of scouts make "Trees" while the remaining scouts are the "Squirrels." When the Cubmaster gives the signal, every squirrel must find a tree, or be removed from the forest.

First Aid Training

Our thanks to JM's dad for sharing his medical prowess with our scouts. Abrasions to breaks, our scouts were trained on what to do when medical emergencies arrive, but just as importantly, how to prevent them in the first place. Safety first!
