I really enjoyed meeting all of the boys and some of the parents, too.
We started off with an opening prayer, followed by the Cub Scout Promise.
Afterwards, I tried to get a grasp on how far along everyone was towards their Wolf / Bear badges. That was easier said than done. It turns out all the boys are at different steps along their awards trail.
That being said, I'm sending out an All-Points-Bulletin to all my Den Parents:
Parents, please, please, pretty-please determine how far along your child is towards their next badge. You can do this by looking at the checked off achievements in their handbook. Once you have that information, please e-mail your son's completed achievement list to the Den e-mail (pack4684wolves@gmail.com) and I'll update their records ASAP.
After our business items, the Den and I hunkered down to complete our service project, collecting litter from the East Village!
The guys did great. Take a look!
They dashed around the courtyards seeing who could fill their bag the fastest. Here we are about half-way done. Look how full those bags are!
Thanks to them, the East Village is a lot cleaner now.
Be proud of them, parents.
They earned those uniforms today.
By the way, today's activities have allowed our Cubs-in-attendance to check off Achievement 7d in the Wolf Handbook (p. 76) as well as the Conservation Service Project for the Cub Scout Conservation Service Award (p. 226).
Go Wolves! Go Bears!
