All the boys got to prepare and cook an outdoor meal (WHB, p. 81).
Afterwards, the Cubmaster put the Den through its paces as she helped the boys clear off Achievement #1 in the Wolf Handbook. (Specifically, requirements 1a, 1d, 1f, 1g, 1k and 1l; WHB, pp. 38-45.) Can you believe we had to run in place for five minutes?!?
The Cubmaster also lectured the boys on the Pledge of Allegiance, making sure that each Cub understood its meaning and significance (requirement 2a; WHB, p. 47).
But the highlight of the meeting came with the awards ceremony.
I'm pleased to announce that each of our boys earned their Bobcat badge along with their Archery and Geology belt loops!
It turns out that all that fun at day camp also helped them advance in rank!
